In this elegant and atmospheric work, I depicted a white grand piano as a symbol of music transformed into feeling.
The piano appears almost weightless, emerging from a deeply textured background composed of black, dark violet, and pearlescent asphalt tones. This contrast creates a quiet, intimate space — a moment suspended between silence and sound.
Above the piano, a crystal chandelier floats like a frozen note, referencing classical interiors and vintage salons, where music once filled the air and emotions lingered long after the final chord.
The composition is enriched with an appliqué made of two fragments of French Chantilly lace. These delicate textile elements introduce a tactile, sensual layer to the work, evoking femininity and the fragile beauty of emotion. The lace becomes a visual metaphor for music’s softness — something felt rather than heard. The handwritten phrase “Melody is a feeling that found its way to sound…” is an essential part of the artwork.
